We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Planned maintenance to online & mobile banking

We've started a series of essential planned maintenance on our online banking and mobile app services.

This is part of a programme of activity to make sure our services remain reliable and available when you need them most.

It will also support our plans to deliver new, improved features and functionality for you.

We know you rely on our digital services to keep track of your finances, that's why we've scheduled this work to take place at times when we know most of our customers use these services the least.

Planned maintenance will take place over a number of weekends starting on a Saturday evening. We aim to finish our work in November 2020.

What will happen during the planned maintenance?

Whilst we carry out our planned maintenance, online banking and our mobile app will be temporarily unavailable. You'll be able to continue to use your debit/credit card in ATMs and shopping online or in-store as normal.

We'll be keeping you updated as we go and we will let you know as soon as they become available again.

When will online and mobile banking be unavailable?

We're committed to giving you as much notice as possible to help you plan ahead.

So we'll be notifying you in advance of each weekend by keeping this page up to date with the specific dates and times, as well as providing updates in online banking, our mobile app and via our social media channels.

Thank you for your patience whilst we carry out our essential maintenance and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.

What can I do to get prepared?

You'll be able to continue to use your debit/credit card in ATMs and shopping online or in-store as normal.

To help you to manage your finances during the weekends where online banking and the mobile app is unavailable:

  • Make sure you transfer money or make any payments before these services become unavailable
  • Our automated telephone banking services are unaffected, so you'll be able to use this 24/7 by calling +44(0)3457 212 212 call charges

What you can do with automated telephone banking

You can:

  • Check your balance and recent transactions
  • Make transfers between your Co-operative Bank accounts
  • Make payments to your Co-operative Bank credit card(s)

Protect yourself online

  1. Keep vigilant when using online banking and the mobile app. Nothing will change and things won't look any different when logging in, so if you see something unusual - let us know as soon as possible
  2. Avoid using a search engine to access your online bank account. Instead, type in https://www.co-operativebank.co.uk into the address bar
  3. Never tell anyone the verification codes that we send to you via text or email, not even us!
  4. If somebody calls you and asks you to download something on to your device and then asks you to log in to your account, stop! It’s a scam!
  5. Remember, neither the Bank nor the Police will ask you to move you money to another account to keep it safe.
