Forgotten PIN
If you've forgotten your PIN, contact us and we'll post a PIN reminder to you. You'll receive your PIN reminder within 6-8 working days.
Customers living outside the UK will need to allow extra time to receive their PIN by post.
Blocked card
If you enter your PIN incorrectly 3 times in a row, your card will be blocked and you won't be able to use it. If you've forgotten your PIN you'll need to contact us.
Unblock your PIN at an ATM
If you know your PIN you can unblock your card at most ATMs by doing the following:
- Enter your card and PIN into the ATM
- Select 'PIN services'
- Select 'PIN management'
- Select 'Unblock PIN'.
Please note – if your card was blocked at an ATM, you will need to contact us to get it unblocked.
Change your PIN at an ATM
You can change your credit or debit card PIN at most UK ATMs.
For savings account cards you'll need to use a Co-operative Bank ATM.
To change your PIN follow the steps below:
- Enter your card and PIN into the ATM
- Select 'PIN services'
- Select 'PIN management'
- Select 'Change PIN'
- Enter your new 4 digit PIN.
Change your PIN to a memorable number but avoid numbers that others could easily guess. It's important that your PIN remains secure. You should be the only person who knows the PIN for your card.
