Forgotten PIN

If you've forgotten your PIN, log in to your online banking to send a secure message or contact us and we'll post a PIN reminder to you. You'll receive your PIN reminder within 6 to 8 working days.

Customers living outside the UK will need to allow extra time to receive their PIN by post.

Blocked card

If you enter your PIN incorrectly 3 times in a row, your card will be blocked and you won't be able to use it. If you've forgotten your PIN you'll need to contact us.

Unblock your PIN

Blocked when paying

If your PIN was blocked while trying to pay, you can unblock it at an ATM if you know the PIN.

  • Enter your card and PIN into the ATM
  • Select 'PIN services'
  • Select 'PIN management'
  • Select 'Unblock PIN'.

Blocked at an ATM

If your PIN is blocked at an ATM, you need to contact us  to have it unblocked.

Change your PIN

You can change your credit or debit card PIN at a LINK ATM.

For savings account cards you'll need to use a Co-operative Bank ATM.

To change your PIN follow the steps below:

  • Enter your card and PIN into the ATM
  • Select 'PIN services'
  • Select 'PIN management'
  • Select 'Change PIN'
  • Enter your new 4 digit PIN.

Change your PIN to a memorable number but avoid numbers that others could easily guess. It's important that your PIN remains secure. You should be the only person who knows the PIN for your card.
