Carry your credit and debit cards on your Galaxy device - and make secure contactless payments on the go.
Samsung Pay is like having a wallet on your smartphone. Just download the app, take a photo of your cards and then you can start to pay on the go. Samsung Pay recognises your card without taking any of your personal details.
Most of our Co-operative Bank debit and credit cards are eligible, except for ATM cards and business credit/ debit cards. To use Samsung Pay, cardholders will need a NFC capable Samsung device running Android Nougat 7.0 software or higher.
Samsung Pay doesn't send your actual debit or credit card number with your payment. Instead it uses a virtual account number that differs from the details on your card, meaning your card details stay safe. Additionally your fingerprint, iris or 4-digit PIN is required to authorise in-store purchases.
Before you download Samsung Pay, please read the Samsung Pay Terms of use below:

This is because we send you a verification code to the mobile number or email address that we have registered for you to verify it is you adding the card to your device.
You can check your contact details and update if required in online or mobile banking. Please be aware that if you need to update your details, you will have to wait up to five days to add your card to Samsung Pay. This is in place to protect you from fraud. If you wish to add your card before then, you will need to call us to update your contact details so that we can verify it's you before your card is added.
You can make a Samsung Pay payment wherever you see a contactless logo. You just need to unlock your device, open the app and select the card you wish to use for the transaction – or simply set a default card to avoid having to choose from a selection in the future.
Verify the payment through fingerprint recognition, iris recognition (on Samsung S8/ S8+ devices only) or by using your Samsung Pay 4 digit PIN.
Hover the back of your phone above the contactless terminal to make the payment.
While there is no default maximum spend with Samsung Pay, some merchants may choose to set a maximum spend like other contactless payment methods.
