We've always believed in equality and inclusion for all. And that everyone has, and deserves, an equal place in society. That’s why we have an inclusive working culture, we support our local communities and we campaign for meaningful, societal change.

  • Our vision of equality is shared with our customers, colleagues and partners, and guided by our unique, customer-led Ethical Policy. Our customers tell us what matters to them, and we take action on it. That means they decide what causes we support and who we do and don’t provide banking services to.

  • When our customers say they want us to stand up for human rights and equality, we will. That’s why we refuse banking services to organisations that advocate discrimination or incite hatred.

Proud to support Pride

We’re incredibly proud to be part of Pride festivals throughout the UK, and especially in our hometown of Manchester, where we’ve sponsored the Manchester Pride Festival since 2016.

Our support for Manchester Pride is led by our LGBTQ+ colleague inclusion group, Proud Together. Along with our colleagues and partners, we’re proud to send a message to Manchester and beyond that we will continue to campaign for greater equality and inclusion for all. We’re proud to celebrate LGBTQ+ life and to contribute to the creation of equal opportunities for everyone in our communities.
