Like many millions of people across the world, we were incredibly saddened to hear of the passing of Her Majesty The Queen. As the longest-serving monarch in British history, Her Majesty’s dedication to public service will be greatly admired and remembered. On behalf of all at The Co-operative Bank, we offer our sincerest condolences to the Royal Family for their loss.

The official state of mourning across the UK will remain in place until the Queen’s funeral on 19 September. As a mark of respect, our branches will be closed on this day. Our retail call centres will be open to support customers who need it, although the services available will be limited as other parts of the banking industry will be closed. Our SME, Platform and Britannia call centres will be closed throughout Monday 19 September. However you will still be able to access your accounts through online banking and the mobile app.

Scammers taking advantage of mourning

Even at this sad time, some criminals may target you for fraud or scams by using fake messages about London travel and accommodation, donating money to charity or signing online books of condolence. Their aim is to steal your personal and financial information. Please be vigilant and if you think you have been targeted by a scam please report it to us.
