New customers can earn £200 by meeting straightforward account criteria

The Co-operative Bank has launched a new £200 cash incentive for small businesses opening a Business Bank Account, offering a straightforward financial boost for those setting up or switching accounts.

Available from 19 June 2026, the offer is open to new customers who open both a Business Bank Account and an eligible savings account, deposit at least £1,000 within 30 days and maintain that balance for three months, alongside meeting basic account activity requirements.

The £200 payment will be credited into the account once all criteria have been met.

The account itself has no monthly fee, meaning businesses can receive the incentive without ongoing account charges, provided they meet the eligibility conditions.

Lisa Galley, Head of Business Banking Products at The Co-operative Bank, said:

“At a time when many small businesses are looking for ways to manage costs, this offer provides a simple incentive for those opening a new account."

“For businesses already thinking about opening a new account, £200 in cash is money that can be put to work straight away - whether that’s getting a website up and running or investing in a short burst of marketing.”

“We believe businesses should have confidence not only in the value they receive, but in how their money is used, including knowing it won’t fund fossil fuels or industries that don’t align with their values.”

The Business Bank Account is designed for startups and small businesses, with digital banking tools and UK-based support.
