We design our website so it can be used by as many people as possible.
As a result, we’ve achieved AA WCAG 2.1 Accreditation for website accessibility by the expert independent assessor Digital Accessibility Centre (DAC).
This is an internationally-recognised standard for web accessibility.
Here at The Co-operative Bank, we set high ethical standards for the services we provide and the businesses we finance.
For the second year in a row, we've been recognised as a Which? Eco Provider. We've been rated green for not funding fossil fuel extraction or production, and for our unique customer-led Ethical Policy.

Our co-operative values and ethics are fundamental to who we are. These awards demonstrate our commitment to standing up for causes that our customers care about.
In 2022, we worked with creative agency Dentsu to launch a campaign to lift the lid on the damage other banks are doing to our planet. As well as being across TV, YouTube, social media and radio, we also set up outdoor campaigns in key locations in London and Manchester.
We’re proud to say we won the Creative for Good ‘Creative Campaign’ award at the Prolific North Creative Awards for this work.

Our “Withdraw from this” campaign has been awarded 'Most Effective Brand Strategy' and 'Best Use of Consumer Insight' for its effectiveness in raising awareness on the role banks play in the fossil fuel industry.
