Relay UK phone service

Relay UK is a free service to help people communicate over the phone. You can use the service through an app or with a textphone.
All you pay are your normal call charges. You pay nothing to use the service itself.

A relay assistant will join the call and can:

  • Type what our colleague is saying so you can read their responses
  • Read your written responses out to our colleague.

Hearing induction loops

If you wear a hearing aid, induction loops can help you to hear more clearly by reducing background noise and amplifying sound directly into the hearing aid.

Fixed and portable hearing induction loops are available in all of our branches.

To use an induction loop, use the 'T' setting on your hearing aid.

British Sign Language interpreters

If you use British Sign Language (BSL), you can contact us using a BSL video interpreter through InterpretersLive! This service is available on demand from Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm and Saturday 9am to 12 noon.

If you are visiting us in branch, we can connect you to a BSL interpreter through InterpretersLive! when you visit us.
