How do I make a Faster Payment?

In Business Online Banking

Click Payments and transfers. Then, click Make a UK payment and follow the on-screen instructions.

Alternatively, click Make a UK payment from the shortcuts on the ‘Accounts’ dashboard.

Please note that:

standing order and future dated Faster Payments will only be processed on normal business working days
sometimes, a payee may not receive a Faster Payment until the next working day or the payment may be rejected by the receiving bank
if your payment is urgent or high value, you may wish to consider using the Clearing House Automated Payment System (CHAPS)
if you are a Financial Director (FD) Online customer, you will be charged 20p per Faster Payment – please check your account tariff for details.
