What is a capital and interest mortgage?

A capital and interest mortgage is where you make monthly repayments over an agreed number of years to cover both the capital you have borrowed and the interest charged.

At the end of the term, provided you have made your payments on time, you will have paid off your mortgage. This is also called a 'Repayment Mortgage'.
