How often will I receive overdraft text alerts?
You will receive an overdraft text alert either before you go into or when you enter into an unarranged overdraft. The alerts will also be sent when you don’t have enough funds in your account to make all of your scheduled payments that working day.
We will only ever send you one overdraft text alert per day, per account, and we will attempt to send it to you between 8:00am and 10:00am. There may be circumstances where we are unable to successfully send you a message, such as, if your mobile phone is switched off, your phone is in flight mode or you are out of a network area. In these circumstances we will re-attempt to send you the message until 15 minutes before the time you have to pay in sufficient funds.
An overdraft text alert can be sent daily, with the exception of Sundays and some bank holidays.
