The Switch and Stay offer ended on Thursday 9 January 2025.
The Hospice UK offer ended on Friday 13 December 2024.
The Co-operative Bank has today relaunched their Switch and Stay Offer, where customers could receive up to £150 for switching their current account to The Co-operative Bank.
Additionally, for every switch requested by 13 December, and completed before 31 December, someone in hospice care will receive a Christmas celebration, which could include Christmas dinners and treats, festive room decorations and visits from Santa.
The Co-operative Bank’s charity partner, Hospice UK, supports more than 200 hospices, who care for more than 300,000 people at the end of their lives every year. Along with many essential services, hospice care continues 365 days a year on inpatient wards and in people’s homes.
This collaboration comes at a time when hospices are facing a national funding crisis, with 1 in 5 having to make cuts to services in order to stay afloat. The Co-operative Bank and Hospice UK are calling for end-of-life care to be made available for all.
The offer is available to new and existing customers who switch to an eligible Co-operative Bank current account**.
Customers who successfully apply to switch will have the Switch and Stay payments paid into their Co-operative Bank current account.
Co-operative Bank current account customers can also benefit from exclusive access to savings accounts, including the current best buy Regular Saver product.
To qualify, new and existing customers must meet the eligibility criteria and terms and conditions.
Customers will need to meet the below eligibility criteria for the offer:
More information regarding eligibility and further terms and conditions can be viewed on the Switch and Stay webpage.
John Ward, Director of Products, said:
“We know that the festive period can be costly for many, which is why we’re really pleased to be relaunching this switching offer today, to support customers during an expensive time of year.
“Through our partnership with Hospice UK, we’re ensuring that our customers can additionally help those in end-of-life care benefit this Christmas.
We hope that the offer will encourage more people to consider switching to The Co-operative Bank – the only UK high street bank with a customer-led Ethical Policy, which guides how we do business.”
Catherine Bosworth, Director of Income Generation and Grants at Hospice UK, said:
“We have had the privilege of working alongside The Co-operative Bank for over 20 years, and it has been a pleasure to be part of their Christmas Switch and Stay campaign this year.
It’s a wonderful initiative that will bring real joy to hospices and those receiving hospice care this Christmas.
Hospices go above and beyond to make Christmas a joyous and memorable time for everyone, and with The Co-operative Bank’s ongoing support, their customers are spreading festive cheer for those in hospice care and their families.”

About The Co-operative Bank
The Co-operative Bank p.l.c. provides a full range of banking products and services to retail and SME (Small and Medium Sized Enterprises) customers and is committed to values and ethics in line with the principles of the co-operative movement.
In 1992, The Co-operative Bank took the pioneering step to become the first UK bank to launch a customer-led Ethical Policy, which gives the Bank’s customers a say on the ethical issues that are important to them, and how the Bank could help. These answers form the basis of our Ethical Policy, shaping the Bank’s ethical commitments, the way in which it will use customer’s money and the issues it will campaign for. Since 1992, the Ethical Policy remains unique in the UK and has been updated six times in consultation with the Bank’s customers, to reflect their changing priorities.
