What's the difference between a standing order and a recurring payment?

  • If you set up a regular payment on Business Online Banking, we call this a 'recurring payment'. You can only cancel/amend recurring payments online
  • If you set up a regular payment over the phone, we call this a 'standing order'
  • We no longer accept requests to set up standing orders by post.
