HID Approve mobile security app

  • You may find the HID Approve mobile security app, a more accessible way to log in to online banking.

To set up this up:

  1. Download the HID Approve app from the AppStore or Google Play
  2. Log in to online banking as usual
  3. Select 'Manage token'
  4. Select 'Set up new device'
  5. Enter your 4 digit PIN into your physical plastic security token, followed by the code given to you within online banking and press ok
  6. Enter the new code from your physical plastic security token into ‘Please enter your response code’ within online banking and press continue
  7. Either scan the QR code or enter on-screen details manually
  8. Enter friendly name to the service
  9. Set up four-digit passcode
  10. Select 'Complete set-up'
  11. Follow the on-screen instructions to test the app
  12. Once you've completed registration you can set up bio-metrics like face ID or fingerprint.
