Before you apply for an account, you need to be sure it's the right one for you. The following documents supply important product and legal information you need to make a decision.

Complete a full switch to us

You'll need to use the full Current Account Switch Service within 14 days of your account opening, which will include the closure of your old account on the day that your switch completes. You'll need to switch at least 2 Direct Debits.

Once your account is open, you're ready to switch. Call us on 08000 325 579 (charges apply) and we'll do the rest. Or visit your local branch. If you're opening your account over the phone or in one of our branches, you'll need to use the Current Account Switch Service before the offer ends in order to be eligible

Current Account Switch Guarantee

Pay into your account and we'll give you £100

You need to credit your current account with at least £800 within 31 days of your switch date. This could be a regular payment into your account, like a salary or pension†.

We will then credit your account with £100 within 45 days from the date your switch is completed, if you have met the terms and conditions of the offer.

Choose a charity and we'll give them £25

We'll send you details of how to choose a charity. You can choose one charity from any of the following (if you do not choose, £25 will be split equally between all of them). Payments to these charities will be made before 30 June 2015.

Terms and conditions

  • *This offer is not available to existing customers with a Co-operative Bank or smile current account who pay in on average £800 or more per month over the three months prior to 1 October 2014, or since the account was opened, if that is a shorter period.
  • †Any balance transferred from your old account as part of your switch does not count towards the minimum £800 funding requirement.
