Introducing our new mobile banking app

Banking is changing, and so is our app. We're launching a new mobile banking app which will be ready for you to download soon. Find out what's new and what you need to do before it launches.

Mobile banking features

You’ll need to register for telephone banking to use our mobile app. Once you’ve registered you can take advantage of all these features:

  • Quickly check your balance and recent transactions

  • Make a one-off payment up to £250 to someone new

  • Securely transfer money between your Co‐operative Bank accounts

  • Make payments to people and companies you have paid before

  • Keep on top of your credit card balance, limit, bill due date and recent transactions

  • Fast, simple and secure login with your passcode

  • Contact details for when you need a little extra support


Getting Started with mobile banking

You can use the mobile app if you have a current account or savings account with us. To get started, you will need a device with a compatible operating system. You’ll also need to know the security details you set up when you registered for telephone banking. If you haven’t registered, give our customer service team a call on +44(0)3457 212 212, lines are available 8am to 8pm, 7 days a week (Call Charges).

It’s easy to get started with mobile banking.

  1. Download the app and accept the terms and condition
  2. Enter your mobile phone number to receive a one-time activation code by text message
  3. Enter the activation code in the app
  4. Create a mobile banking passcode, between 5-8 digits
  5. Enter your account details and confirm security details: We’ll ask for digits from your telephone banking passcode and confirm pieces of secure personal information you set up when registering for telephone banking
  6. You’ll now have access to your accounts via the mobile app

Once you’ve completed these steps, you can now log in to the app quickly and easily using only your mobile banking passcode.

Is my device compatible with the mobile app?

To make sure our mobile app is safe and secure, you’ll only be able to access and use our app on a device with a compatible operating system. An operating system is what your device uses to function.

Occasionally, device manufacturers find issues within their operating systems. The manufacturers release updates to fix these issues and keep your device protected against potential threats.

Fraudsters constantly look for opportunities to exploit operating system issues that allow them to access the information held on your device. Keeping your device up to date ensures that you stay protected against any operating system issues.

You’ll need a device with one of the following operating systems:

iPhone/iPad – version 8.4.1 and above (iPhone 5s (64 bit) and newer)

Android – version 5.1 and above (also called Lollipop)

For more information on how to find out what operating system you are using, and how to update your operating system, select the type of device you have and follow the instructions on screen.

If there are no updates for your device available, or you are unable to download our app after updating your operating system, you will still be able to use online banking, telephone banking or pop into one of our Co-operative Bank branches.

  • Using your mobile banking app

    We will not charge you for using the mobile banking app on your smartphone. Your mobile phone network provider may charge you for use of data services depending on your tariff and inclusive data allowance.

    Please check your tariff and any data limits with your provider. If you access mobile banking using Wifi, Wifi charges may be applied. Please check with your Wifi provider.

    Text alerts

    We will not charge you for text alerts. Most mobile networks will not charge you to receive messages from us. If you are unsure, please check with your network provider.

    Travelling abroad

    If you are travelling abroad, you may be charged by your network provider for receiving text alerts. Please check with your network provider. You can cancel the service before travelling by texting STOP to 87212 or by changing the text alert settings in the app.
