How do I make a payment?

There are a number of different ways that you can make a payment.

Mobile app:

You can make the following payments through the mobile banking app, without needing to use a card reader:

  • Save and pay a new payee
  • Pay a saved payee
  • Transfer money between your Co-operative Bank accounts
  • Make a payment direct to your Co-operative Bank credit card
  • Make a one off payment up to £250 in a 24 hour period
  • The account number and sort code of your recipient
  • Recipient name


Online banking:

You can make the following payments through online banking:

  • Manage your Direct Debits and standing orders
  • Set up future dated payments and standing orders
  • Make payments to new and existing recipients
  • Pay a company using our list of known companies
  • Transfer money between your Co-operative Bank accounts
  • Send money outside the UK

Please note: You may need a card reader to complete some of these payments in online banking.

Automated telephone banking:

Our automated telephone banking service lets you check your balance and make payments between your Co-operative Bank accounts, without speaking to a customer advocate.

You can use this service 24/7 by calling us on +44(0)3457 212 212 (Call Charges).

Calling us:

If you need to make a payment for more than £19,999 or you sending money outside of the UK for more than £10,000, you can call us on +44(0)3457 212 212. Lines are open 8am to 8pm, 7 days a week
