One of the goals at the heart of our Ethical Policy is acting with honesty and transparency. That’s why every year we publish a report showing the actions we have taken to bring our Ethical Policy to life.
We were the first bank in the world to produce an independently verified sustainability report in 1998, and we have led the way in reporting ever since. As a result of our expanded Ethical Policy, launched in January 2015, our new Values and Ethics Report has been widened to include all aspects of how we do business.

Our “Ethical Policy in Action” page also gives you all the latest news on what we are doing to make sure values and ethics are at the core of our business.
Historical Sustainability Reports
Between 2006 and 2013, our sustainability performance was reported as part of The Co-operative Group family of businesses. The Sustainability Report provides independent assurance about the way we implement our Ethical Policy each year, including the ethical screening of banking customers.
As well as our Ethical Policy implementation we reported against a series of indicators that covered social and environmental banking, including social and environmental products and services, plus environmental protection and support for communities and stakeholders.

Public Policy Engagement
As a bank with values and ethics at its heart, our customers expect us to operate with honesty and transparency. We therefore publish details of all formal meetings on behalf of the Co-operative Bank between government ministers and members of the Bank's Board or Executive.
We began reporting these formal meetings from 1 July 2014, the results of which can be seen below.
