Registered social landlords (RSLs)

The Co-operative Bank is proud to have supported the Housing Association sector - otherwise known as RSLs - for more than 15 years. This sector provides low-cost housing and other community benefits for low income and vulnerable individuals and families throughout the UK.

The RSL team includes individuals with an extensive knowledge of the operational activities of RSLs, including membership of Housing Association Boards and professional qualifications in Housing.

Our Housing Association portfolio

Our RSL customers vary significantly in size, from large national organisations to smaller operators who concentrate on their own local community. However, each one is able to demonstrate a solid financial base together with a robust business plan for future activity.

We are happy to consider funding proposals from all sizes and types of RSL and in return we can offer:

  • A dedicated relationship team
  • A flexible approach that takes account of current and future business needs
  • A complete range of the bank’s products and servces including insurance, investments and advice on energy efficiency / renewable energy schemes.

We will consider loan applications for any amount from Housing Associations that are regulated by the Tenant Services Authority, although our typical loan size is between £1 million and £25 million.
