Free Tibet Campaign
Free Tibet Campaign was established in the UK in 1987 to campaign for an end to the Chinese occupation of Tibet and for the human rights of Tibetans to be respected.
Recent events have brought attention to a struggle that has been ongoing for nearly 60 years, since Chinese forces invaded and occupied Tibet in 1950.
With an active support base, FTC can educate individuals about Tibet, and lobby governments, institutions and companies to bring about a peaceful political solution.
With the Bank’s donation, FTC will undertake research into the environmental, social and health impacts of large-scale mineral extraction taking place in Tibet.
