Here at Co-operative Insurance, we're very proud of our claims commitment. We're dedicated to giving you a first class service and aim to:
- respond to all claims notifications within 24 hours of receipt
- respond to all correspondence within 5 working days
- issue settlement cheques within 24 hours of receiving the required documents

But before you call, make sure you have these details handy:
- Name and address of the policyholder and the policy number
- details of the claim including the date of the incident, how the incident occurred, the damage caused, property lost and any injuries sustained
- the registration number of the vehicle, the name and address of the driver and insurance details from the other party involved (e.g. name, address, name of insurer and policy number).
We believe in treating all of our customers in an open and honest way and our staff are dedicated to dealing with claims swiftly, fairly and efficiently.
It's common sense really. If we treat you well when you need to make a claim, you're more likely to stay with us, and you might even tell your friends how well you were treated. So you get great service and we get loyal customers. Everybody wins.
In fact, in a recent survey of a sample of our customers, 90% of them said they were satisfied or very satisfied with the way their claims were handled.
So, after you've called the claims number above, we will:
- give advice, assistance and reassurance at a time when it is needed most
- offer immediate practical assistance
- ensure a rapid response in line with our claims commitments
- obtain details of the third party to enable us, where appropriate, to offer them assistance too
