Foreign currency accounts
Customers who have had an operational current account for 6 months are able to apply for an account held in a foreign currency, this is especially useful for customers who spend a large amount of their time abroad and who are paid in the currency of the country they are in.
The product features
- Accounts available in all major trading currencies including the Euro.
- Majority of accounts are interest bearing (subject to market conditions).
- Cheque book facility available (on current accounts only).
- No debit cards available on accounts.
Charges for foreign currency accounts
- Maintenance = £20.00 per 1/2 year (April - October) (no fee for Euro Deposit accounts only)
- Transfers between currency accounts and sterling accounts = £6.00
- International services e.g. negotiation/collection of cheques, oversea transfers = As per standard tariff.
