Thinking ethically
As the only UK high street bank with a customer-led Ethical Policy, The Co-operative Bank has been thinking about the bigger picture for the last 15 years. We know that one of the major concerns facing everyone today is climate change – more and more people are looking for ways to do their bit to combat this global issue.
This is why we introduced our think credit card. Not only does it reward you for making ethical choices on your purchases, but we’ll also make a contribution of 25p for every £100 you spend on your card to RSPB to help protect the Indonesian rainforest. You'll also get a special rate of 7% pa on products bought from our ethical partners, for 6 months after each purchase - 12.9% APR typical/variable.
But thinking ethically doesn't stop with thinking green, which is why we have identified ethical partners that consider other important issues, such as fairtrade, sound sourcing or animal welfare - it's all important in making a difference to our world.
