RSPB is working with its sister organisation Burung Indonesia and the global conservation network BirdLife International to protect endangered rainforest in Sumatra, Indonesia. It is helping to store carbon in the rainforest (preventing it from being released into the atmosphere) and preserve the habitat of more than 300 species of birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians. It is also supporting local people, who rely on the forest for their livelihood.
