NEW LOOK CO-OPERATIVE BANK BRANCH OFFICIALLY OPENS IN SHEFFIELD CITY CENTRE

  • New location as the branch moves to new address on Pinstone Street and is open to customers.

The Co-operative Bank has relocated its Sheffield branch with a new look and feel and enhanced features for customers.

The new branch is located at different premises on Pinstone Street, in the centre of the city and was officially opened with a ribbon cutting event on Tuesday, 11th April, 2017.

At the event, long standing Sheffield branch staff member Elaine Chatterley cut the ribbon alongside other branch staff and Co-operative Bank’s Head of Branch Network, Mortgages and Business Banking, Paul Denton. Elaine has served bank customers in Sheffield for more than 20 years and has been key in organising many fundraising events for staff and customers to take part in. The branch is currently fundraising for local cause Dogs for Good.

Speaking of the branch opening, Head of Branch Network, Mortgages and Business Banking, Paul Denton said: “The new branch is in a prime location in Sheffield city centre and looks fantastic. It’s great to see staff are already fundraising for a local cause and encouraging customers to get involved.

“Our branch network remains an integral part of our overall customer service offer.  We are redesigning and modernising our branches as customers look to use the branch for more complex face to face conversations.

“We are also continuing to invest in our digital offering to provide customers with new, innovative ways to service their accounts.”

Elaine Chatterley, long serving staff member from the Sheffield Branch, said: “It is great to see the new branch being used by our customers. The feedback has been extremely positive and we are delighted that our customers will benefit from the more modern look and feel.”

The new look branch includes an internal and external ATM, automated teller cash recycler counters; to allow staff to have conversations with customers more easily, and in branch access to iPads for customers to access online banking services.
