It's your money... You can be certain that the money you borrow has not come from the profits of unnecessary pollution, human rights abuses or any other activity which conflicts with our strict ethical policy.

The APR (Annual Percentage Rate)

The term annual percentage rate (APR), describes the interest rate for a whole year (annualised), rather than just as a monthly fee/rate. It's the cost of the loan expressed as an annual rate.

The Co-operative Bank use a process called credit scoring to assess each application. Like all Lenders we use information from a credit reference agency called Experian and other information you provide on the application. The rate we offer is linked to this information. This may mean that the APR you receive will be higher depending on your personal circumstances.

The total amount you'll pay back

The longer you borrow the money for, the more interest you'll pay, as interest is calculated over the full term of the loan.
